Volunteers Rules of Engagement
MACS is happy to provide a weekly hot lunch option for students. We need your help, and please plan to join us. Thank you!
- Volunteers will provide a vegetarian hot lunch every Thursday at 11:00 am.
- The lunch will be served in Oakhill’s Fellowship Hall.
- Request 2 individuals to work together to provide, prepare, and serve a vegetarian meal.
- The goal is to get enough volunteers so that each team will serve once a month or once every 6 to 8 weeks.
- Hot lunches are scheduled to begin in September of the current school year and end in May of the current school year.
- A lunch menu will be sent home to parents/guardians at the beginning of the month.
- Volunteers determine the lunch menu.
- The cost: $3.00 per person; Dessert, $1.00, Boxed drinks, $1.00; Bottled water will be available at no cost. Volunteers are NOT expected to provide boxed drinks or water.
- Proceeds from the Hot Lunch Program will help support the 8th grade trip.
- Lunch dates may change based on unforeseen circumstances.
- If you want to participate in the school lunch program but you work, volunteers will be available to serve your meal.
- You want to participate in the school lunch program but you do not want to cook, please feel free to donate funds to support a meal.
- Hot lunch program benefits: a) opportunity to minister to MACS students, b) offer students healthy food options, and c) provide students with opportunities to serve.
